We offer progressive inspections on new construction, inspecting the home as it progresses from one stage to another. Inspections takes place at critical times during the building process.
Here’s how we do new construction inspection:
We start with a foundation inspection. Before the drywall goes up, we perform a framing inspection to be sure that all load bearing and framing components are on its right place. We will also examine the plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins to insure they meet current building standards.
When the house is complete, we conduct a final inspection. Where we evaluate the entire home for building code compliance. As well as, for function and safety of the installed systems and components.
These inspections are not all about proper placement of building components, but aim to be informative and educational. The report will identify sizing, spacing, materials used and location. Of, HVAC Equipment, panel boxes, water heaters, water lines and plumbing clean outs. This information is as important as the
proper construction of the home itself.
“I viewed a copy of a home inspection report (different company) from a deal that fell thru several weeks before I put an offer on my first home. I opted to have another home inspection done because it can’t hurt when you are making such a huge investment. These guys came highly recommend from the buyer’s agent I am using, and I am very happy I had them come out. The inspection took about 2 hours and was extremely through. The entire crawl space was inspected which I was not expecting, and Jim even tested the buttons on the built in microwave. Never would have thought to do that on my own! By the time Jim had completed the inspection there were easily double the items/issues to report that the other company had failed to notice or communicate in their report. This inspection was worth every penny, and I feel confident in proceeding with repairs that are needed, and probably would have not known about until the issues were serious. These guys were also on time, and were able to answer every question I had. 11/10 would use again!” – Review of A B Home Inspections, Inc. By Jennifer LaFontaine
